Arab Summit renews support of Arab Peace Initiative

The Arab summit renewed on Wednesday that peace cannot be realized in the Middle East without Israel's full withdrawal from the occupied Arab territories until June 4th, 1967 including the occupied Golan and what remained of south Lebanon.
The summit called in its final communique to find out a just solution for the Palestinian refugees problem according to the UN General Assembly resolution 194 and rejected all forms of settlement as well as it called to establish the Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital according to the Arab peace initiative that was ratified in Beirut Arab summit in 2002.
The summit called upon the quartet committee to resume the serious work as to achieve just and comprehensive peace in the region and on the basis of the Mideast peace process references embodied in the UN relevant resolutions, the land for peace principal and the non acquisition of others' land by force, the land for peace initiative and the roadmap peace plan.
It underlined the Arab stance rejecting partial solutions and Israel's unilateral measures because they aimed at controlling more of the Palestinian occupied territories and to prevent the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state as well as undermining the Arab and international efforts in framework of the Arab peace initiative to attain a just and durable solution for the Arab-Israeli conflict.
The summit called to support the Palestinian Authority budget and the Palestinian people steadfastness according to the bases and mechanisms ratified by Beirut Summit in 2002 and to strictly adhere to pay the Arab countries allocations calling the Arab economic and financial funds as well institutions of the Arab joint action to assign in contributing to provide all forms of support to the Palestinian people.
The communique called the international community to continue in providing gifts and financial and economic aids to the PA as well as to respect the Palestinian democratic choice warning of positions calling to stop the international support to the PA saying this would have dangerous precautions on the social and economic situation of the Palestinian people.
The summit condemned the Israeli decision to stop tax revenues and customs due to the Palestinian side and called the international Quartet and the international community to put pressure on Israel as to cancel this decision as it denounced the Israeli practices on the crossings in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank saying it violate the human and international law in addition to the crossings agreement that had been reached by the Quartet.
The summit called upon the Quartet to shoulder responsibilities to achieve the just and comprehensive peace on the basis of the Arab peace initiative and the Roadmap.
It underlined sticking to the Palestinian refugee "right of return" according to the international resolutions mainly the US General Assembly resolution number 194 and according to the Arab peace initiative, in addition, it rejected all bids to settlement in all its form which contradicts with the situation in the hosting Arab countries asserting Israel's legal and political responsibility for the emergence and permanence of the refugees problem.
The summit called the international community to hold responsibility towards the Palestinian refugees until there is a solution for their problem appreciating the efforts of hosting countries to the refugees.
