Two American soldiers killed in Iraq

One American soldier killed and other three injured when a bomb exploded in a vehicle they were riding near al-Habaneyah area, west of Baghdad.

The American army said in a statement that the American soldiers were on their way to Baghdad when the explosion took place.

The statement indicated that another American soldier was killed in a fire launching incident south of Baghdad and thereby the number of American persons killed since the beginning of the invasion of Iraq in March 2003 increased to 2326.

This has come at a time when attacks and explosions continued in the past 24 hours in various parts of Iraq, leaving behind 9 killing and 25 injured most of them are police members.

The main of these attacks was the blowing up of two persons in their cars after they broke into a police center in Alexandria city south of Baghdad and they opened their weapons fire. This resulted in injuring 11 policemen and one woman who was standing near the place. The explosion was followed by the fall of several mortars at the police center.

The Iraqi police announced finding 27 bodies killed by bullets in Baghdad and thereby number of bodies found during 8 days increased to 130 according to security sources.
