Saddam calls Arab summit to support Iraqi resistance
Iraq-Regional, Politics, 3/27/2006
Former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has called on the Arab leaders to support the "Iraqi resistance." This was expressed in a message that seemed to have been sneaked from inside his prison and published on a site on the Internet for the supporters of the banned Baath Iraqi party.
It was not possible to make sure of the accuracy of the message which was published in the site without a signature from the former President.
However, member in the defense groups for Saddam Hussein, the Jordanian lawyer Ziad al-Khasawenah said that the tone of the message and the used expressions all indicate that its writer is Saddam Hussein.
The message warned against what it called the "Zionist- American schemes to partition Iraq and the other Arab countries." Saddam told the Arab leaders who are to be meeting in al-Khartoum, Sudan, to divide Iraq and the other Arab states. Saddam said to the Arab leaders who will be meeting in Khartoum tomorrow that "resistance is the fortress on which waves of the American, Zionist and Iranian conspiracies are hatched."
Saddam warned the Arab leaders that the turn of their countries will come in the course of a large American schemes to divide the Arab states and control the oil wealth of the region.
He said that the state of chaos in his country is not a mere coincidence or mistakes committed by the American administration rather steps linked to achieve the targeted objectives which are to divide Iraq to three Shiite, Sunni and Kurdish states.
He added that after this partition, the Americans will move to chop Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and establish a Palestinian state to the east of Jordan extended to the west of Iraq.
