Polesario Front refuses Moroccan king plan
Algeria-Morocco, Politics, 3/27/2006

The Polesario Front, which demands the independence of the western Sahara with support of Algeria, expressed rejection of the plan proposed by the Moroccan King and considered it as provocative.

The front's secretary general Muhammad Abdul Aziz described in statements to al-Jazeera satellite tv the visit of the Moroccan king to the Sahara as a colonialist, coupled with acts of repression and detention of demonstrators who raised the flags of the Sahara republic.

Moreover, Abdul Aziz described the situation in the Sahara as subjected to what he called "a tough repression and terrorism led by King Muhammad IV himself, noting that the best solution lies in the free referendum which was called upon by the UN."
