Prince Charles awarded honorary degree from Al-Azhar University

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak and his wife Suzanne yesterday hosted a reception in honor of British Crown Prince Charles and his wife Camilla currently visiting Egypt.
Mubarak also "hosted a dinner banquet in honor of the British guest attended by State senior officials," government media said.
Meantime, Al-Azhar University yesterday granted Prince Charles an honorary Ph.D degree. The degree was granted in a ceramony attended by the Grand Imam of al-Azhar Sheikh Mohammed Sayed Tantawi and Minister of Awqaf Hamdy Zaqzouq, the government noted.
Al-Azhar University president Ahmed Mohamed Al-Tayib expressed appreciation of Prince Charles's position towards Islam and Muslims.
