40 Iraqis killed in another bloody day in Iraq

Iraq yesterday witnessed another bloody day that left behind more than 40 killings most of them are police men.

The American army, on the other hand, announced that one of its soldiers was killed in an attack by machine guns targeted one joint American- Iraqi vehicle west of Baghdad.

In one of the most violent attacks, 22 Iraqi police men were killed when gunmen attacked the headquarters of al-Miqdadeyah city in Deyali governorate northeast of Baghdad and were able to release 33 prisoners. The police said that it killed ten attackers and arrested 16 of them.

The Mujahideen Shoura council claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement which has not yet confirmed.

Other 11 Iraqis were killed and other 36 injured in various incidents in Baghdad and Baqouba while other seven bodies were found in Baghdad and its north killed after torture.
