Sinioura for political and economic reforms, relations with Syria

The Lebanese prime minister Fouad Sinioura stressed the need of embarking on a plan for political and economic reforms and the importance of inter- Lebanese dialogue and correcting relations with Syria.
In a press interview in Brussels before his meeting with the foreign ministers of the EU member states, Sinioursa said he will propose to them the main lines for the economic and administrative reforms programs and enhancing the private sector and enhancing cooperation with the European Union.
On the national dialogue which was launched by the beginning of the current month by the participation of various political sides, Sinioura commended the atmospheres of the dialogue in being "the first time in which the Lebanese are meeting alone without a monitor, a mediator or a godfather."
The Lebanese prime minister expressed his happiness because the said meeting made dialogues in basic matters which used to be taboos just few months ago.
As for the relations with Syria, Sinoura said that these relations witnessed great tension since the assassination of Rafiq al-Hariri, calling for correcting the relations between the two states on the ground of equality, and to that Syrians to get acquainted to deal with Lebanon as an independent state.
