London chamber of commerce and industry certificates launched in Syria

Syria's Deputy Premier for Economic Affairs Abdullah Dardari said Sunday that London Chamber of Commerce and Industry International (LCCI) Qualification has a glorious history at technical rehabilitation in trade and economic fields.

The London Chamber is interested in coming to Syria and offering technical and vocational qualifications to the Syrian youth, particularly during this stage in which the country witnesses an economic change, Dardari added in a statement following a celebration of launching London Chamber of Commerce and Industry certificates.

He underlined that the skills and competencies which could result from technical courses provided by the London Chamber is essential for Syria's success during the coming stages.

Launching the certificates in Syria enables the country get an idea on the latest international developments in advanced economic and trade work mechanism so the Syrian youth can compete with international companies, Dardari added.

British Ambassador in Damascus Peter Ford, for his part, said launching London Chamber of Commerce and Industry certificates in Syria is an indication to the deep ties between Syria and Britain, particularly in the economic field.

The Chamber has appreciated the Syrian youth desire to gain international certificates that entitle them to work with international companies, the Ambassador added.

The certificates include advanced business management, industrial works management, secretariat principles, marketing skills, advertisement and public relations. They also offer advanced courses on information technology for the service of advanced institutions administration.

The British ambassador in Damascus Peter Ford underlined the long history of cooperation relations between Syria and the UK. Relations which were strong and will remain strong to meet Syria's needs for modernization.

The launch celebration was held on an invitation from the British Embassy in Damascus in cooperation with the Association of the Syrian Young Entrepreneurs Association SYEA.

Worthy mentioning that learners use LCCI qualifications to support their applications for jobs, entry into higher education and membership of professional bodies. Last year more than 200,000 LCCI certificates were awarded in over 100 countries

The first LCCI International Qualifications examinations were held in 1887. For more than 100 years LCCI certificates have been widely regarded as passports to employment around the world. Its qualifications are available in a range of subject areas and cover all the key functions of Business: Business English; finance; Business administration and secretarial; Marketing and Customer Service and IT.
