Israel refuses dealing with Palestinian government
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 3/20/2006
Israel refused any contact with the new Palestinian government. This was expressed in the first comment on the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's receiving the formation of a new Hamas-led government under the leadership of designated prime minister Ismael Henya.
One official source said that Israel will also continue freezing the transfer of the customs fees and taxations belonging to the Palestinian authority. The Israeli source added "we will continue this policy as long as Hamas will not agree to give up violence and recognize Israel and the finalized agreements."
Earlier, the Israeli occupation forces prevented the movement of Hamas's parliamentarians from Gaza to the West Bank and vis-à-vis.
The Israeli acting prime minister Ehud Olmert did not rule out following Hamas's winning continued acts of assassination in the lines of the movement's leadership recalling the assassination of the founder of the movement Sheikh Ahmad Yassin and its leading figure Abdul Aziz al-Ranteisi in 2004.
