American Rachel Corrie remembered for facing Israeli bulldozer

Wafa reported yesterday that "On the occasion of third anniversary of the killing of Rachel Corrie, Gaza Community Mental Health Programme (GCMHP) saluted the family and friends of Corrie for all they did in terms of media activities to uncover the ugly face of the Israeli occupation."

"Corrie was killed by an Israeli soldier driving a bulldozer as she was trying to prevent him from demolishing a home of a Palestinian in Rafah. Rachel was a member of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM), who came to Palestine to provide support and express solidarity with the Palestinian struggle against the Israeli occupation," the report noted.

"In this day, we remember the extraordinary courage for the martyr Corrie, and how she sacrificed her soul for the sake of the just cause of Palestine," says a press release by GCMHP. The blood of Rachel Corrie, streamed on the land of Palestine, is mixing with the Palestinian blood in one fight against the occupation, oppression, and discrimination. The Program said friends of Palestinian people worldwide are demanded today to intensify their efforts to support the Palestinian cause and to exert all possible efforts to confront the discrimination plans of the Israeli government, and especially work diligently to let the Apartheid Wall fall."

Wafaf noted "It also thanked the Rebuilding Alliance in the USA for building for their generous contribution in re-building the home of Nasrallah family, which was demolished in Rafah."
