Syrian women and decision making

Syrian Family Affairs Association on Monday held a seminar in the Syrian central city of Hama titled "Women and Decision Making" where participants reviewed a number of experiments in issues related to women position in society.
Syrian population expert and member of parliament, Khaled Najati, on Monday underscored importance of boosting women role in society and making use of their capabilities, adding that women are symbol of generosity and life.
Governor of Hama Khalil Khaled, for his part, briefed the attendees on the achievements which the Syrian women gained during the last four decades in all fields.
He said that the Syrian constitution has given women their full rights and offered them opportunities to actively contribute to developing the country in the political, economic and social domains.
A number of MPs, Islamic and Christian clergymen as well as representatives of popular organizations and civil associations attended the seminar.
