Syrian comment on the inter- Lebanese dialogue
Syria-Lebanon, Politics, 3/15/2006

In Damascus, the Syrian state run Tishreen daily on Tuesday called on the Lebanese leadership taking part in the dialogue not to include the two issues of Hizbullah weapons and border demarcation between Lebanon and Syria in the standing dialogue.

Tishreen said that the "dialogue is a valuable opportunity to rescue Lebanon, should avoid suspicious topics which are not of concern to the Lebanese, and that are prescribed from abroad."

Meantime, and on the Lebanese borders with Israel, the state of alert announced by the Israeli army continued. UNIFIL chief said on the sideline of a celebration held in Tyre that "Israel is still in a state of strong alert on the southern borders of Lebanon."
