Qatahfi: Libya is a land of freedom

JANA said yesterday that Sunday the 12th of March marks the lapse of 18 years since Mummar al-Qathafi, the Leader of the Revolution, ripped the lists of those banned from travel abroad and the passports of those under reservation were returned to them in consolidation of freedom that was among the priorities of the aims and principles of al-Fatah Revolution of 1969.


It said "This revolutionary action that promotes freedom and has been done by the Leader on the 12th of March 1988 which had coincided with the 11 th anniversary of the declaration of People's Authority and the birth of first Jamahiriya in history and when the Leader had demolished the prison and freed the inmates.

" That action proved to the world that man's dignity is a priority of al-Fatah Revolution objectives. At a historical moment amidst the chanting masses the Leader of the Revolution addressed the gathering asserting that Great Jamahiriya is the land of freedom and refuge to all those seeking freedom everywhere and that great al-Fatah Revolution that broke out in 1969 is a proclamation of freedom that has been reinforced on the second of March 1977 by the declaration of the Authority of the People and the birth of the first Jamahiriya in history.

"The Leader of the Revolution stressed on this occasion that The Revolution is a cry for freedom and breaking of all restrictions and it is the opposite of oppression and that there could be no prisoner or any one banned from travel or work in the free society where power wealth and arms are in the hands of the people and that (Libya) can never be other than a land of freedom in the world."
