Syria: Democracy activists beaten by students

Democracy activists from the so-called "Damascus Declaration" group in Syria were beaten up in front of the Justice Palace while holding a peaceful sit-in protesting Syria's emergency laws. Hassan Abdul-Azim, the group spokesman said students from the Syrian Students' National Union, beat women and children among with sticks as well, and the demonstrators were accused of being agents for the USA.
