American report's accusations to other countries

The US State Department report on human rights said that human rights conditions in Iran deteriorated in 2005, noting that Tehran withdrew credential for more than 1000 candidates for the presidential elections which took place in June 2005.

The report also accused the authorities of carrying out urgent trial and oppressive detentions and religious discrimination measures."

The report also criticized Russia over the violations it commits in Chechnya while it said that each of Saudi Arabia and Egypt, two allies for Washington, still have "a poor" human rights record but had recognized the fact of making some progress

The report indicated the step taken by Egypt to open the door for presidential nomination before other rivals for President Mubarak but he said that the Egyptians are still waiting for a chance to change their government.

On the Iraqi affairs, the report of the US state department said that Iraq has witnessed numerous violations ranged between oppressive killing, detention and torture.

At a time when the report talked about the occurrence of acts of killing by the Iraqi government or its agents and members of the sectarian militias which control most army units.
