Syrian deputy FM meets with Iran's special envoy for Iraq

Visiting Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister in Political Affairs, Ahmed Arnous, met Wednesday with Foreign Minister Special Envoy in Iraq Affairs Ali-Asqar Khaji.
According to a report by Foreign Ministry Media Department, the two sides emphasized continuation of consultations about Iraq developments and stressed that the current developments in Iraq have effects on the future of the region, security of neighbors' national interests and the Islamic world.
Iran-Syria foreign ministries officials emphasized Iraq's territorial integrity, national integration and unity among Iraqi groups, and the need to avoiding any kind of ethnic and tribal conflicts.
They both condemned terrorist acts and the disastrous events of Samara (attack on the shrine), desecration of sanctities, and praised Iraqi people awareness and its political and religious leaders who prevented ethnic clashes and kept internal unity and maintained tranquility in the country.
The two officials also condemned any foreign intervention in Iraq developments and emphasized necessity of withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraq.
