Arab parties pledge to support Syria in face of pressures
Syria-Regional, Politics, 3/7/2006
Arab Parties on Monday called for supporting Syria in the face of foreign pressures, stressing Syria's right to restore its occupied land till the June 4th 1967 line.
The parties, meeting in Damascus for their 4th session, rejected external intervention in Lebanese internal affairs, showing solidarity with the Lebanese and Palestinian resistance to liberate the occupied Arab territories.
On Iraq, the parties called for an immediate withdrawal of the occupation troops from Iraq, rebuilding the country and maintaining its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
They "condemned acts of terrorism which target innocents and civilians in Iraq, holding the occupation forces responsible for the crimes being perpetrated against its people."
The parties called for "respecting the Palestinian peoples option, offering full support to Palestinians, backing their national unity and stressing the Palestinian refugees right to return home."
