Muslim Scholars Commission accuses interior ministry of killings
Iraq, Military, 3/6/2006

Three persons were killed in an attack against al-Nour mosque in al-Jihad quarters in Baghdad, carried out by members manning cars of the ministries of interior and wearing military uniforms, according to the Imam of the mosque Sheikh Shaker Mahmoud.

The attack in which seven persons were injured was followed by a bloody confrontation that lasted for half an hour, and the people of the quarters interfered to defend it before the attackers fled.

On the other hand, the Muslim Scholars Commission accused the ministry of the interior of killing the nephew and cousin of its leader Harith al-Dari after their bodies were found torn by bullets west of Baghdad. A matter which the ministry denied.

To the south of Baghdad, two persons were killed one of them was a police man and other 4 injured in a bomb explosion when one police vehicle was running in al-Hella city.

Some 17 Iraqis were killed in various attacks and scores were injured including Col. Mahmoud Sheibani from Baqpuba police leadership when gunmen opened fire at him while he was in his way to his work at a time.
