Al-Nour Radio: Lebanese national dialogue hailed
Lebanon-Syria, Politics, 3/4/2006
The national resistance will ever remain the strong strategic choice for Lebanon to deter threats and Israeli aggressions, Al-Nour Radio quoted Secretary General of Hizbullah as saying Friday.
The radio mentioned that Hassan Nasrallah urged, in his interposition to the Lebanese national dialogue conference, the majority to announce their future political goals in Lebanon.
The Israeli threat and external danger pose the biggest danger that threaten Lebanon, he said, stressing that he cannot take it for granted that ousting Lebanese president from office will solve Lebanons crisis.
Nasrallah wondered how UN Security Council resolution 1559 would be dealt with in future and with the Israeli occupation of Shabaa Farms and Kfar Shouba "so we need guarantees" he said.
Meantime, Lebanese parties and forces said "Lebanese national dialogue is an opportunity to emphasize the distinguished relations with Syria, assert Lebanon's Arabism and to stress necessity of maintaining the national resistance weapons to protect Lebanon and complete liberation."
Former Lebanese Minister Wiam Wahab, for his part, underlined significance of standing by the Lebanese national resistance to defend Lebanon, liberate the still occupied territories as well as to restore captives from the Israeli prisons.
He criticized attacks of the so-called Lebanese parliamentary majority against the resistance, saying "This majority has been doing their best to implement outside and US agenda."
Later, Senior Lebanese cleric Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah called participants at the round-table national dialogue to raise to level of discussion to discuss "its real problems such as the collapsed economy, disturbed security and foreign interventions."
"The national dialogue puts Lebanon on road of salvation and getting rid of controversial points through understanding and reconciliation that achieve Lebanon's national interests," president of the Association of Jabal Amel Ulama, Sheikh Afif Nabulsi said.
