Qathafi, Mubarak for keeping African forces in Darfur

The Libyan leader Muammar al-Qathafi and his Egyptian peer Hosni Mubarak stressed during their summit in the Libyan Mesrata city the need of continued deployment of the African Union forces in Darfur, Sudan.
The Egyptian ambassador in Tripoli Muhammad al-Tahtawi said that the two leaders stressed the need of solving all African problems in the African context without foreign intervention. Egyptian officials said the two sides agreed to postpone the meeting of the African Security and Peace Council in March 3rd to find a settlement for the Darfur issue reflecting African Union interests.
