First Olympiad for special needs persons starts in Damascus

Member of the regional Leadership of the Baath party Shahinaz Fakoush called today to collaborate efforts as to put down a significant strategy for persons of special needs.

It is important to create an appropriate life and integrate persons of special needs in the society, she said at the opening of the first Conference for Board of special needs Olympiad.

The Olympiad has kicked off Tuesday to discuss various aspects related to the Special Syrian Olympiad from the organizational, social and medical domains.

It also ratified the interior system of the Olympiad and the current year work plan as well horizons to develop such a gathering.

Chairman of the General Federation of Sport Faysal al-Basri underlined for his part the need to provide requirement of this sector of handicapped persons to allow them to practice their activities in the society by developing programs and preparing the national personnel.
