Syria reiterates full cooperation with international investigation
Syria-Lebanon-UN, Politics, 2/28/2006

Parliament' speaker Mahmoud al-Abrash reiterated on Monday Syria's full cooperation with the UN investigation into the killing of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq al-Hariri.

Speaking at the 12th conference of the Arab Parliamentary Federation he noted that this comes in framework of sovereignty, security and stability of Syria and Lebanon together.

He said that "Syria will deal with Lebanon as she has always done and in all circumstances on the basis of fraternity for Lebanon's unity and stability."

He noted that the Arab region and our Islamic world are confronting challenges and risks aimed at their independence, sovereignty and civilized values.

"We all have to stand in front of these challenges boosting rights of our Arab people in Palestine to be liberated from the Israeli occupation and to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital in addition to liberate the occupied Lebanese farms of Shabaa as well liberate the occupied Syrian Golan," Al-Abrash said reiterating backing to the political process in Iraq and asserting Iraq's unity and Arabism.

He called Arab parliamentarians to deepen solidarity and cooperation as to embody "the will of the Arab man in liberation form all forms of dependence and slavery as to keep out our identity and our human and civilized distinction."
