Hamas welcomes EU aid resumption to Palestinians

The official spokesman for the Islamic resistance movemen, Hamas, Sami Abu Zehri, on Monday described the European decision to resume aid to the Palestinian people as a "correct" decision.

In a written statement dispatched to journalists, Abu Zehri said that "we in Hamas welcome any foreign aid as long as they are not linked to bargaining the rights of our Palestinian people."

Abu Zehri said that this EU decision revealed the failure of the American and Israeli pressure in the west to siege the Palestinian people and harass the Hamas movement.

This came following the decision taken by the EU to release aid for the Palestinian authority at a cost of 120 million euros in order to avoid a nearby financial crisis that coincides with Hamas movementstarting the formation of the next Palestinian government.
