Saudi Arabia announces killing of five gunmen

Saudi Arabia's ministry of interior announced in a statement the killing of five wanted persons, and arresting a 6th, in clashes today at dawn in al-Yarmouk quarters east of the capital Riyadh.

The clashes erupted after the security men forces besieged the suspects over their link to the attack at oil Abqik installation. An attack claimed by al-Qaida organization. The wanted persons refused to surrender, and for hours machine gun fire and bomb explosions were heard.

The statement explained that the security forces carried out simultaneous operations in the course of chasing the executors of Abqik operation according to which one resort in al-Yarmouk quarters was attacked and all occupants of the place were killed instantly.
