Aoun for good relations with Syria
Lebanon-Syria, Politics, 2/27/2006

Lebanese MP Michel Aoun has underlined the Lebanese people's commitment not to allow Lebanon to be a passage of a base for launching attacks against Syria, stressing the necessity to have good and normal relations with Syria.

In a televised interview broadcast by a Lebanese NBN TV, Aoun added that he would personally and effectively work for a Lebanese national dialogue to which Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri has been calling, with the aim of making it a success.

He pointed out that Lebanon can only be lead by a government representing all the Lebanese denominations, and the Lebanese people are best able to deal with their internal problems.

He reiterated his commitment to the document of understanding with Hizbullah and to the Lebanese identity of Shabaa Farms.
