The Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak started in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain on Sunday a Gulf tour which will also lead him to Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia during which he will discuss several issues, including the Syrian- Lebanese crisis and the situation of the Palestinian Authority in light of Hamas winning the Palestinian elections and the Iranian issue.

The two leaders urged the Palestinian and Israeli sides to return back to the table of negotiations in order to find a final solution for the Arab Israeli conflict so as to ensure the national legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, especially the establishment of the Palestinian state on their own native soil with Jerusalem as capital.

The Bahraini news agency indicated that Hamad and Mubarak exchanged view points on the situation in Iraq and stressed " their joint care to exert more efforts to enable the Iraqi people to restore back their national unity, sovereignty, and independence and helping it elimination of its crisis and restoring back its effective role in the course of security, stability and peace."
