Syria and Morocco to joint marketing company

Syrian businessmen heads discussed on Thursady with their Moroccan counterparts establishment of a joint marketing company and inking an accord to build a free trade zone as well launching a joint maritime line among port of the two states.
The two sides also studied prospects of developing naval and air cargo lines in a direct way between the two states, SANA said.
The most important Syrian exports to Morocco are cumin seeds, sugar food staff as well calcium carbonate, detergents, raw cotton and wells digging equipment while Syria imports from Morocco fish and chemical wood pasta.
Chairman of the Syrias Chambers of Commerce Rateb al-Shallah held talks today with Deputy Chairman of Morrakesh Chamber of Commerce Ibrahim Roumeili over cooperation horizons and means to progress and energize trade and economic ties.
Shallah called fro his part to mount exports value between the two countries and put into force the signed accords as well to activate the Syrian-Moroccan Businessmen Council in addition to increase visits of trade delegations and encourage opening joint expositions noting that trade exchange is not reaching aspirations in this respect.
