Syria, Jordan to boost water cooperation

Syria and Jordan on Wednesday underlined the importance of boosting cooperation between the two states in the water field and activating agreements signed between the two sides.
This came during a meeting between Syrian minister of irrigation Nader al-Buni and his Jordanian counterpart Mohammad Zafer al-Alem where they discussed means of enhancing ties between both states in the water domain.
Talks during the meeting dealt with issues related to the joint water commission of Yarmouk River basin.
Minister Buni said the meeting comes in the framework of coordination between both states with regards to Yarmouk basin as well as the establishment of al-Wahda Dam on Yamouk valley.
