Eight Iraqis killed

During the few past hours, attacks and explosions continued in various parts in Iraq, the last of which resulted in killing one police man and injuring other two when a bomb went off implanted on the roadside near their vehicle in al-Yousefeyah south Baghdad.

To the south of Baghdad, two brothers were killed by gunmen bullets while they were working in their shop in al-Maalef area.

Previously, in the capital Baghdad, gunmen wearing the Iraqi police uniform kidnapped the prominent Iraqi businessman Ghaleb Kebbeh and his son after they had killed five of his personal guards in al-Yarmouk quarters.

A source in the Iraqi ministry of interior said that Ghaleb Kebbeh occupies the post of the chairman of al-Basra chamber of commerce and chairman of the board of directors in al-Rafeydeen area of the Iraqi airlines, while his son Hassan works as a commissioned director for Basra International bank for Investment.

Also in the capital Baghdad one Iraqi policeman was injured when one bomb went off when a police vehicle was running in al- Saleikh area, while four policemen were injured in a similar explosion in Karkouk northern east of Baghdad.

On the other hand, one small German plane was missed while on its way to Iraq coming from Azerbaijan. One official at al-Suleimaneyah airport expected that the plane crashed in the mountainous area north of Iraq.
