More Americans are injured in Iraq

Several American soldiers were injured in Iraq on Thursday when three Hammer vehicles were destroyed in attacks by booby trapped cars and two explosives targeted American vehicles in the governorate of Deyali north of Iraq.

In another development, witnesses said that one explosive went off when a vehicle for the American army was sunning near al-Rahma hospital in the downtown of Baqouba and this resulted in the destruction of a military vehicle and injuring its occupants. One civilian was also injured in a fire opened by American soldiers. Another bomb explosions inflected damages in a Hammer car in al-Mufarrak area in the downtown of Baqouba.

In the same city, police sources said that gunmen killed Raad Bander the chairman of the municipality council of Bani Saad area north of Baqouba together with other two men. One is the chief of Khafaja tribe. In the same area one explosion targeted a vehicle for the Iraqi army resulted in injuring two men from the patrol.

Six Iraqis were killed and other 17 were injured in separate attacks including three booby trapped car explosions in Baghdad. Among the killed was an army general.
