Mubarak seeks new housing, land reclamation facilities

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak spoke of "the need for abiding by timetables to carry out different projects contained in his election platform in order to provide job opportunities, contain over-population, establish further industrial cities, ease burdens on the limited-income brackets, develop slums and upgrade services' quality," the government noted.
Mubarak meeting with the cabinet housing committee dealt with the issues of "potable water and sewage system, procuring houses for young people and low-income categories and urban planning for cities and villages throughout Egypt."
Mubarak asked for feasibility studies for new industrial cities noting the experience with New Salheya city and industrial zone in Quesna.
