Russian Duma: Hamas is representative of Palestinians

Neglecting Hamas movement who is authorized by the Palestinians by a democratic legitimate election means neglecting of the whole Palestinian people, chairman of the International Affairs Committee of Russia's State Duma said Tuesday.
"The main task of our forthcoming discussions with Hamas is to keep the movement within the framework of the political dialogue," Konstantin Kosachev said in a statement, indicating that Russia is acting on the behalf of the International Quartet Committee.
Kosachev said that his country is definitely against using ways of power and isolations against Iran and the Palestinians. "Such ways are useless," he added.
"Following such ways, the USA is maintaining a political project to cover its failure in Iraq."
