Violence in Iraq continues

Various parts in Iraq witnessed during the past 24 hours bloody attacks that resulted in killing or injuring scores of Iraqis and the killing of one American soldier by the bullet of one Iraqi sniper in Tikrit, north of Baghdad.
In one of the most violent among these explosions, eight persons were killed and other 50 were injured, when a suicide bomber detonated himself wearing an explosive belt amid a crowd of Iraqis before a bank in Baghdad. Police sources said that the Iraqi citizens were waiting for documents distributed by the government, for the shortage in the foodstuffs rations given to them by the government on monthly bases in front of the investment bank in the new Baghdad area.
On the other hand, the chairman of the Iraqi independent bloc, former minister of electricity Ayham al-Samerae escaped an assassination attempt in one explosive targeting his vehicle in Baghdad, and this resulted in injuring three of his personal guards and one passerby woman at the site of the explosion.
In other developments, some 11 Iraqis were killed including seven police member. Many others were injured in a series of attacks which took place during the past hours in Baghdad and in its south in Alexandria and al-Hella and in Baqouba, to the northeast of the capital and in Ramadi to the west and Touz Khourmato to the south.
Six Iraqi were killed by the fire of the American army in al-Tharthar area west Baghdad, and four members of the economic security department were killed by gunmen north of Beji city. In al-Mushahada, gunmen damaged one American Humphy vehicle and burnt three tanks.
