New York Times: Iran notifies IAEA of nuclear enrichment restart
Iran, Politics, 2/8/2006

NYtimes.com reported yesterday that Iran on Monday notified the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that it is restarting nuclear enrichment, and the ending of all voluntary measures Iran has taken beyond the standard Non Proliferation Treaty requirements.

This comes after Iran had warned that it would no longer tolerate what it saw as the abuses of its rights and the goodwill measures it granted the agency, that was seen by many as a mere puppet to political interests hostile to Iran, and following tactics used by the European and the US to delay Iran's technological development and rights to complete civil nuclear development.

The NYtimes.com report said that the IAEA was asked to get its equipment out, and that "its inspectors would no longer be allowed to conduct short-notice, wide-reaching inspection trips and that uranium enrichment work would resume."
