Iraqi Shiite coalition may choose new prime minister today
Member of the United Iraqi Coalition List, Abbas al-Bayati, said that members of the list agreed to make a decisive voting today to choose their candidates for the post of the prime minister, if the current talks will fail to appoint a prime minister among from among four candidates.

US condemnation of embassies burning in Syria
Commenting on the acts of riots that targeted the Danish and Norway embassies in Damascus said in a statement issued by the White House on Saturday that the United States condemns in the strongest terms the burning of the Danish and Norwegian Embassies in Damascus, Syria today, which also damaged the Chilean and Swedish Embassies. The Government of Syria's failure to provide protection to diplomatic premises, in the face of warnings that violence was planned, is inexcusable, the White House statement added.

Acts of violence, attacks continue in Iraq
Two policemen were killed and two other injured when gunmen opened fire at the car of col. Firhad Qader, the commander of districts belonging to the governorate of Karkouk, to the northeast of Baghdad, according to a source in the Iraqi police in the governorate. Qader was not hurt.
