Syrian businessmen for free trade accord with Pakistan

Syrian businessmen called on Tuesday their Pakistani counterparts to ink the free trade accord between the two countries to boost and develop trade exchange.
A series of meetings have started today in Aleppo, to the north, between a visiting Pakistani businessmen delegation and their partners in the city.
Chairman of Aleppo Chamber of Commerce Mohamed Saleh Mallah underlined the importance of upgrading the level of economic ties and expanding them via the exchange of delegations and by holding common expositions.
"We draw attention that the free trade agreement between the two friendly countries will bolster and develop trade exchange between them," Mallah said.
Representative of the Pakistani private sector Najib Hussein Shah and Deputy director of the bureau to circulate Pakistani exports Rafik Qureishi said the mission of their delegation is to circulate economic activities and find a joint cooperation formula as well be briefed on the Syrian products to import them in addition to encourage investments among businessmen in both countries.
The Syrian side included businessmen from sectors of leather industries, sports, jewels, rice, textiles, handicrafts, foodstuff and medical instruments.
Earlier, the Pakistani ambassador Mouezzidin Bukhari spoke abut the big progress witnessed by the economic sector in Syria noting that a bulk of laws and decisions that gave investors facilities as well boost the importing and exporting processes.
