Syria depends on friends support while defending rights

Syria said on Tuesday she defends her rights and she sticks to them depending on support of friends atop of them Federal Russia.

Chief of General Staff of the Army and Armed Forces Lieut. Gen. Ali Habib said in a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart that Syria is attached to her rights and she is defending them depending in this respect on the international relevant resolutions, and on her friends support to her atop of them is the Federal Russia who is well known by her standing by the right and justice at international gatherings.

He depicted ties between the two armies "as very old and consolidated that are joined by points we are proud of."

For his part, Chief of Staff of the Russian Army General Yuri N. Baluyeusky underlined the importance of respecting states sovereignty and the peoples right to choose the life example they wanted, hailing the distinctive national bond in Syria and her peoples rallying around the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.

This poses as an element of strength for Syria that contributes to face pressures and threats Syria is exposed to, the Russian Chief of Staff said.

He noted that his visit has come "to embody the two leaderships inclinations in the two friendly countries."
