Iraq-USA, Politics, 1/31/2006
Kidnapped American female journalist in Iraq, Jill Carol, appealed yo her family and colleagues at the Christian Science Monitor and the Americans in all parts of the world to demand the American army and the Iraqi ministry of the interior to release all detained Iraqi women in the American and Iraqi jails.
She said in a video tape broadcast by a group calling itself "The Revenge Groups" that the release of those Iraqi women will help her own release. The recording is dated January 28th. The kidnappers of Carol threatened to kill her if not all Iraqi women prisoners will be released.
Last Thursday, the American army released five Iraqi jailed women within a shift that included 419 Iraqi prisoners from the jails of the American forces, but the leadership of the American forces denied links between this release to the case of Carol's kidnapping.
