Acts of killing continued in Iraq; US newsman injured

A bloody Sunday in Iraq came after the killing of 25 Iraqis most of them are members of the Iraqi and army police in various attacks in the country
In Baghdad six Iraqi security men were killed in three separate attacks and in a car explosions in al-Doura, al-Amereyah and al-Khadra quarters.
To the north of Baghdad, the Iraqi police announced the killing of three of its members including a Brig and injuring of other ten including three police men by gunmen fire in three separate attacjs in Beji and Baqouba.
Four Iraqi soldiers were also killed and other 6 injured in a booby trapped car explosions targeted a vehicle for the Iraqi army near al-Auja in Tikrit to the north of the capital Baghdad.
Also in Tikrit, Lt. gen. Mahmoud Dahham Ahmad Badawi, one of the Iraqi army deputy chief of staff under the rule of the toppled Iraqi President Saddam Hussein after one shelling fell on his house in the downtown of the city.
To the south of Baghdad some 11 Iraqis were killed and other five injured in a bomb explosions near a sweets shop in Alexandria town.
On the other hand, the anchor at the American ABC newsman Bob Woodruff and his photographer were strongly injured in a bomb explosion north of Baghdad.
ABC news said that Bob Woodruff and Dodge Fojt were traveling with a unit from the Iraqi army in a vehicle near al-Taji area when the explosions took place, noting that the two men were admitted to an American military hospital to receive treatment.
