Acts of detention clashes in Iraq
Iraq, Politics, 1/28/2006

The American and Iraqi forces detained some 60 persons in the outskirts of southwest Baghdad for suspicions they are linked to the gunmen. These forces inspected during breaking in operations houses, persons and cars.

A violent fighting erupted in the said area between the police and scores of gunmen that lasted for hours, during which at least three persons were killed. Eye witnesses said the killed were civilians.

Five persons were also killed in various attempts in Baya, west Baghdad, and in al-Doura, al-Yousefeyah, south of Baghdad, where two persons were killed in a bomb explosion that was targeted at an American vehicle.
