US threatens India if it does not support it against Iran

The US ambassador to India threatened India that if it does not vote with the US to refer Iran to the UN Security Council regarding Iran's civil nuclear energy issue, the US would reject the nuclear cooperation agreement between the two sides, the New York Time reported yesterday.
The report quoted the US Department Of State disavowing the remarks of the US ambassador, while India said that each issue should stand on its own merit.
