Russia fully supports Iran's nuclear programs: diplomat
Iran-Russia, Politics, 1/25/2006
Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Ramazan Abdullatipov yesterday expressed his country's full support for Iran's peaceful nuclear programs, IRNA reported.
Talking to reporters, Abdullatipov said that "despite the ongoing hue and cry against Iran's nuclear activities, Russia would continue its cooperation with Tehran in accordance with previous agreements."
He recalled that the alliance which deposed former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein from power claimed his country was producing nuclear weapons which later turned out to be erroneous.
He said he believed Iran's nuclear programs were for peaceful purposes.
