Palestinian killed in raid by Israeli occupation
Palestine-Israel, Military, 1/23/2006
News reports in Gaza said that one Palestinian was killed and other six were injured in a raid launched by Israeli helicopters targeting a civilian car in al-Shujaeeya quarters east of Gaza on Sunday.
Witnesses quoted eye witnesses and Palestinian security sources saying that one bike was seen near the targeted car and was also targeted by the raid, noting that the Israeli helicopters target the launchers of the missiles in this area or farmers who are frequently existed there.
However, the aim of the raid or persons it targeted in the assassination operation is not clear yet, but news reports expected that the killed Palestinian is a member in al-Naser Salah Eddine group of the People's Resistance Committees.
A medical source in al-Shefaa hospital in Gaza said that one ambulance transported one of the victims as a result of the bombardment to the hospital while he was in grave health condition.
This came hours after the killing of another Palestinian called Moumin Weshah and injuring others north of Gaza near the border fence between Gaza and Israel.
Earlier, the occupation army announced that military men opened fire on Saturday at three Palestinians while they were creeping towards the border fence between Gaza and Israel.
The spokeswoman for the occupation army did not explain whether the targeted Palestinians were armed or not, or whether that they were activists that came to implement an attack or were trying to sneak to Israel to work without permits.
