Syria continues cooperation with UN Investigation: Minister

Syria's Minister of Justice said on Wednesday that Syria is still cooperating with the UN international investigation into the killing of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq al-Hariri.
In a speech at the opening of the permanent bureau of Arab Bar Federation meetings in Damascus, Mohammed al-Ghofari said that Syria has announced from the beginning her keenness on the full truth regarding the crime of assassinating former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri.
He said that this was due to Syria's absolute belief that she has no relation with this crime and she has cooperated with the international investigating commission on this basis as she formed a high- level judicial committee to investigate Syrians, noting that Syria is still cooperating and confirming her eagerness and readiness to uncover the truth.
Meantime, Chairman of the Arab Bar Federation Sameh Asshour said that "we have to make use of capabilities to face the danger confronting the Arab nation. We will put our means and efforts to defend Syria and make our upcoming conference a place for frankness and divulgence to deal with mistakes and activate the joint Arab Action as to salvage our nation," he said.
For his part, Secretary General of the Arab Bar Federation Ibrahim Simlali showed solidarity with Syria against all pressures and threats she is exposed to, saying "these threats that are contradicting with values and norms as well the international charter ruling ties among nations."
Chairman of the Syrian Lawyers Walid al-Tesh said the Arab lawyers emphasize that defending Syria is to defend the truth and right as well the UN principles and international justice in security, peace, independence, sovereignty and the peoples self-defense right far from away from hegemony and tyranny.
Syria will host on Saturday the Arab Bar Federation Conference to Defend Syria. It will be under the patronage of President Bashar al-Assad.
