Al-Assad confers with Omani Mufti

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad received the Grand Mufti of Oman Sheikh Ahmad Bin Hamad al-Khalili and an accompanying delegation on Wednesday at al-Rawda Palace "regarding the symposium of Rapprochement Among Islamic Sects, the role of the clergymen in enhancing unity in the society and defending Muslims issues and bringing their points of view closer to face the campaigns of slander against Islam," it was officially said.
