Iraq, Military, 1/18/2006
Attacks on Tuesday continued in various parts of Iraq in which scores of Iraqis were killed.
Seven Iraqis were killed working in a company for preparing foodstuffs for the Iraqi army by unidentified gunmen targeting a house in al-Karradah quarters in the center of Baghdad used as a factory for food canning.
It was also announced the killing of the second commander in the national guard col. Hussein al-Duleimi who was kidnapped last Sunday. Also five Iraqis were killed including one police Maghaweir officer and other 15 were injured in different attacks in Baghdad and north to it.
On the other hand, Iraqi police sources announced finding the remains of 22 bodies in a mass grave, 30 km to the south of Najaf city, and it is speculated that the bodies are for persons who were killed during the Shiite uprising against the government of the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein in 1991.
In a video tape, the Islamic army claimed responsibility for an attack by an explosive against an American vehicle south of Baghdad. Thawrat al-Ashree (The 1920's revolution Group) claimed responsibility for the attack against an American vehicle south Musil.
