Qurei confers with Moratinos
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 1/17/2006

A statement issued by the Palestinian Cabinet in conclusion of a meeting between Prime Minister Ahmad Qurei and the Spanish foreign minister Miguel Angle Moratinos in Ramullah on Monday said that Qurei expressed his rejection to the Israeli attempts which aim at showing the elections as merely for a Palestinian community living on an Israeli land.

Qurei called for a more effective and vaster international law aiming at launching the permanent situation negotiations and reaching a peaceful settlement for the conflict.

The statement quoted Moratinos as saying that his country will seek to lead the efforts aiming to launch the Palestinian- Israeli peace process on the ground of starting the final status negotiations between the two countries after the end of the Palestinian legislative elections.
