Al-Manar: Syria is Lebanon's and Arab depth, Franjieh says
Lebanon-Syria, Politics, 1/16/2006
Former Lebanese minister Suleiman Franjieh, in an interview with al-Manar TV on Friday, criticized those who raise doubts regarding Hizbullah's patriotism and its sacrifices to liberate Lebanon, underscoring the necessity of protection of the national resistance arm to face the Israeli aggressions and liberate the rest of the Lebanese land which is still occupied.
"Those who try to strike civil peace in Lebanon are the same side who raise doubts about Hizbullah patriotism," he said, criticizing the political (low) "level that Walid Jumblat has reached to and his continuous endeavors to attain his personal benefits using all means to do that."
"I will not renounce my history to make use of circumstances and swoop on my friends," he said.
Franjieh stressed that Lebanon can be governed only through dialogue and democratic national reconciliation.
