Representation of Sunnis in the new Iraqi government
Iraq, Military, 1/14/2006
The American general in Iraq Lt. Gen. John Vines, commander, Multinational Corps Iraq and Commanding General of the VXIII Airborne Corps, said that the pace of violence depends on the extent of the ability of the next government to represent all Iraqi groups.
He said that violence also depends on whether the Sunni will feel that they have a place in it, otherwise, those who feel that they are endangered in a democratic process, if they are not represented in a democratic way or not, will express their preoccupations violently.
Two Iraqi Maghawir police men were killed on Friday evening in a bomb explosion when their vehicle was running in al-Mansour quarters west of Baghdad.
Earlier, some 16 Iraqis including 9 civilians were killed in two explosions one of them is a suicide bomber in Falluja to the west of Baghdad and Baqouba in its north.
