Tareq Aziz lawyer: My client is dying in room allocated for dogs
Iraq, Politics, 1/13/2006

The lawyer of Tareq Aziz, former Iraqi vice president under the government of Saddam Hussein, said that his client "is dying" and will not live more than one month because he suffered a brain stroke and heart disease.

Lawyer Bade Aref said that the imprisonment conditions of his client by the American forces is bad, noting that he is held in a room "allocated (fit) for dogs" with two meters length and one meter width and has no light entering it.

Aref said he had discovered the bad condition in which Aziz lives after his visit to him on the occasion of Eid al-Adha holiday.
